These bead woven earrings showcase a series of vintage glass cabochons from the 1960’s. The faceted stones are clear crystal with an aurora borealis coating that lends flashes of amber, green and blue as the light hits. Each earring has one cabochon on the front, and one on the back, so they’re lovely from either side. The cabs are set in a handwoven bezel of glass seed beads, including larger 8/0 beads in a matte silvery white, and tiny 15/0 charlotte cut seed beads, which have been electroplated with sterling silver. The outer edges of the beadwork are embellished with fire polished glass and Swarovski crystal beads, and at the base is a glass dagger in metallic silver with subtle swirls of aurora borealis color.
The earrings measure about 2.25″ total, and they dangle about 1.75″ from the sterling silver earring hooks.
