October Trick or Treat GIVEAWAY!

black bat leather hair stick barrette

Happy October! Let’s celebrate with a little Trick or Treat Giveaway…

TRICK:
Thanks to everyone loving up these little bat barrettes! They’re flying off the shelves 🦇
Sadly, I’ve been tipped off that the counterfeiters love them too. So please beware – I only sell on my Beadmask website and my Beadmask Etsy shop. I don’t use any other business names, and I don’t sell on Amazon – not even when the listings use my exact photos. Please don’t fall for that old trick – there’s no telling what you’ll get when you buy from these ©reeps!

TREAT:
As thanks to all who support my craft, I’m giving away two of these bat barrettes on October 16th!
To enter, just leave a comment with a kind word or two. I’ll pick one winner from my Instagram page and one from my Facebook page. Make me smile, make me laugh, and help me to break this ©opycat spell by reminding me of the good people who make my job worthwhile!

Healing Heart

Here’s a happy customer, wearing the “Healing Heart” druzy amethyst necklace that I shared a few weeks back. It features a gorgeous amethyst cluster heart, similar to (but smaller than) the larger palm sized stones that I posted the other day.

Sometimes a piece of jewelry goes to the exact right person – as if it was made just for them, and I didn’t even know it. It’s an honor when that happens, as is the case here.

Thank you, my friend. Wear it in joy and good health!

Birch Leaf Hair Slide Review

birch leaf hair slide

“I am completely obsessed with the olive birch leaf hair slide! It is extremely well made and sturdy enough to hold 3ft worth of thick hair. The packaging was carefully and thoughtfully done. I will absolutely be purchasing more of these! If you are thinking about ordering, you will not be disappointed! Thank you!!!”

^This sweet review  made me smile. It means so much to see that people are enjoying my work!

A Rave Review

interleaf leather hair slide

Just received this rave review! I love that they took the time to create a collage with before and after photos of their new hair cut.

✩✩✩✩✩ “I love my custom order! I previously bought some gorgeous fall leaf slides that I wore every day, but then as the weather started to turn I knew I needed an icy winter leaf as well. Andrea was very helpful throughout the process, finding pics of other fantasy style leaves she’d made to help me decide what I wanted, offering me options for designs, informing me about stick options. She’s wonderful to work with. And the quality is excellent! I could not be more enchanted with this piece.”

A Halloween Treat

leather masks

This customer message was probably one of the best treats of my Halloween season!:

“This was, by far, my favorite Halloween costume I ever had. Your mask stopped people passing by me in the streets!!

I was (Greek goddess) Persephone. (If you are not familiar, she is goddess of springtime flowers & vegetation. Her story explains why we have seasons. I love Greek mythology. 💚) My husband was a Forest Demon.

No joke, the second I saw your mask, I knew it belonged to me. I had already envisioned my entire outfit by the time I had paypaled you the money.

And make no mistake, I did not get the mask to go with my outfit. The entire outfit, down to the very last detail, was all to go with the mask. It deserved no less than a godly presentation😊

A million thanks. Your stunning creation produced a million smiles on Saturday. As well as a night I will never forget. And I will treasure it indefinitely. 😊💚🌺

I love it when people connect with my work like this, and it means the world that she took the time to tell me about it! THIS is why I love my job.

PS. His mask was made by fellow mask artisan, Larry Wood of Fantasy Guilde Studios. Wood’s masks always have so much character, and this one is no exception.

Customer Appreciation Giveaway!

leather sugar skull mask

I’m going to try something new, and hold a customer appreciation giveaway each month until the end of the year. If it goes well, I’ll continue the tradition in 2019. Since this new adventure begins on All Soul’s Day, I’m offering this handcrafted day of the dead mask as the very first handmade giveaway gift.

To enter, just send a photo of yourself wearing my work & allow me to share it on my sites + social media. There are several ways that you can share your photo – the very best way is to scroll down to use the handy form that I created just for this purpose, but you can also just share the images to Facebook or Instagram and tag me along with a comment that you’d like it to serve as a giveaway entry.

For each photo that you share, you’ll receive one entry good for the remainder of the year. For a second entry, share a story about who you are, what you do, and/or why my work resonates with you. And yes, you may submit photos that you’ve sent in the past, IF you include a damned good story!

Each month, I’ll draw one winning name. November’s winner will be chosen on Friday 11/30 at 6 pm PST

I’m doing this because your photos really do mean the world to me! I absolutely LOVE seeing my work out there in the wild, being enjoyed by cool people. More importantly, I love hearing your stories and learning about the amazing things that you do in the world! When you share who you are and why you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep creating and to continue to improve.

Those photos and connections mean more than I can say. So I’d like to foster that, and to let you know how much I appreciate you. Thanks so much for supporting my craft, and for always inspiring me!

Pacific Northwest Ravens

Pacific Northwest raven barrettes

I love these recent customer photos so much that I wanted to share them with you! This client had me customize my Pacific Northwest raven barrette design to accommodate a larger size of French clip, and they wanted them paired so that the birds would face (or look away from) one another, rather than facing the same way.

The metal clips on these are quite a bit bigger than the ones that I usually use. Because they hold a fairly substantial amount of hair, most people will only wear one clip at the back of the head. She has so much hair that she was able to use these as a pair of side clips!

She and her husband are repeat customers, and such nice people. They’re beekeepers who share my love for nature (they even offered to help with tips and advice when my husband and I are ready to start our own beekeeping adventures!). I sincerely love when I’m able to share my work – and make connections with – people like this. You are the reason that I love my job!
