Description
This bead embroidered cuff bracelet centers around an azurite-malachite cabochon that was mined in Bisbee Arizona. Similarly, the 4 turquoise cabs in this piece are also older (purchased in 1989) pieces from AZ — hence the name “Arizona Highways”.
In addition to the stone cabs, this cuff incorporates undyed AAA quality lapis, teensy 2mm turquoise beads, 1950’s vintage glass seed beads and rare turn of the century “French Jet” nailheads. This cuff measures about 1.75″ high at the highest point, tapering down to about 1/2″ high at the ends. The beadwork is sewn and glued to a moderately flexible metal cuff , which measures about 6″ around. The inside of the cuff is lined with black garment leather.
* Several of these photos show the bracelet propped up on a rock, just to offer a better close up view of the beadwork. This listing is for the bracelet only, the rocks that the cuff is resting on are not included.
