MEASUREMENTS + MATERIALS
✭ Approximately 7.25″ total, with a usable length of about 5″
✭ Handcrafted with Oregon maple, glass seed beads, tiger eye, and faceted golden dendritic quartz
When I showed these pieces to my friend, she saw magic wands. They’re intended as hair accessories, but I like that idea too! However you enjoy them, I hope they’ll add beauty (and maybe magic) to your world.
The handmade wooden hair stick is an older piece from my stash. It was crafted by Ed/ Eduard Phillips of Pacific Mercantile, about 10 years ago. The wood is old growth Oregon maple, with a pretty gold stain.
I’ve embellished the stick with fine glass beadwork, set with yellow tigers eye beads and cabochons. The topper is a gorgeous piece of faceted golden dendritic quartz crystal. The topper stone is somewhat flexible, but very secure. This stone is perfectly imperfect, with minor flaws on the back side. The beadwork design is different on each side.
It measures just over 7.25″ from tip to tip. The usable length of the hair stick is about 5″, and the beaded topper adds another 2.25″.
Some of the photos show multiple sticks from this little collection. This listing is for the golden one only.
