This tooled leather blue jay feather pendant and matching earrings make a lovely set. They have an an earthy, rustic feel and you can dress up the pendant by layering it with other necklaces, or wear it alone for an easy casual look.
The feathers were handcrafted from premium tooling leather, and painted in rich shades of royal blue, cobalt, black and white. The color has been sealed with a protective top coat.
The earrings are wrapped in black metal wire, and they dangle from oxidized sterling silver shepherd’s hook ear wires. They’re smaller than my other blue jay earrings, measuring just under 2.5″ total, or about 1.75″ from the base of the earlobe.
My leather craft is created using high quality materials and over 25 years of leather working skill. Beauty and quality craftsmanship are important to me, so I don’t do “quick and dirty” work; I patiently design, cut, carve, shape, paint and seal each piece. This takes longer than other methods, but the end result is an original, handmade work of wearable art that you can be proud to gift or cherish for years to come.
