This leather luna moth necklace is a little work of wearable art! It would make a wonderful gift for your favorite gardener or nature lover.
MEASUREMENTS + MATERIALS
✭ Pendant measures approximately 3.25″ wide x 2.25″ high at the widest and highest points.
✭ Neckline is adjustable from about 18″ – 20″.
✭ The moth is backed with soft deerskin leather.
✭ Materials include: tooling leather, acrylic paint, sealant, glass seed beads and semiprecious stones
This mixed media necklace combines leather craft, beadwork, and wirework techniques. The luna moth pendant was hand carved from premium tooling leather, and then painted in shimmering hues of olive green, bronze and violet. The leather was then set in a hand stitched bezel of glass seed beads, and accented with a (very!) fiery boulder opal cabochon.
The adjustable chain neckline is dotted with high quality gemstone beads, including: Nevada turquoise, faceted hematite, charoite, sugilite, moonstone, moss agate, blue goldstone, and amazonite.

Luna Moth: moths are symbolic of transformation, growth and change. They always seek the light! Additionally, luna moths represent the moon and feminine energies.
Opal: this October birthstone is said to be a symbol of hope. Likewise, the colorful fire is said to represent passion and dreams.
Turquoise: has been prized across time and culture, as a talisman of kings, shaman, and warriors. This stone is believed to impart protection, wisdom and good health.
Hematite: a protective and grounding stone.
Charoite: is said to transmute illness into wellness.
