These dangly leather crow feather earrings are accented with iridescent labradorite teardrops that add a striking pop of color against the dark black background.
They were handcrafted using tooling leather and semiprecious gems. The feathers were cut, carved and painted in black before being sealed with a protective top coat. The leather feathers are accented with faceted labradorite and smooth rainbow obsidian beads. All of the wire is sterling silver, as are the earring hooks.
The two large labradorite briolettes are not exactly the same size, so the earrings have a sort of “wabi-sabi” effect. They’re perfectly imperfect – sisters, but not twins. Similarly, the larger of the two labradorite stones has a distinct color change along the back. It’s not a crack or a flaw, simply a typical characteristic of the stone’s formation.
These lightweight earrings measure about 3.25″ total, and should dangle about 2.75″ from the base of the earlobe.
