These gorgeous faceted Andean Opal teardrops feature stunning hues of translucent pale blue with milky white striations. This is the national stone of Peru, and it is only found in the Andes mountains. The stones were hand wrapped with sterling silver wire in an organic zen-like pattern. Each one is accented with a small silver spirals, and they dangle from sterling silver earring hooks.
The pair shown here is representative of the style and quality that you’ll receive, though each pair will have minor variances due to the fact that they’re handcrafted. They’re about 1.5″ long total, or about 1″ from the base of the earlobe.
The last photo shows these alongside a dime for scale. As you can see, I offer similar styles in labradorite and pink moonstone, as well as a few other gemstones not shown here.
Folkloric properties of Andean Opal: This is said to be a very calming stone that can help with relaxation and releasing old traumas and stress. This stone is believed to facilitate communication by easing tensions and helping ideas to flow easily.
