These fall colored leather leaf barrettes are loosely modeled after the cheerful little birch leaves in my area. Each one is cut from high quality tooling leather, which is hand carved and shaped, then hand painted in rich autumn hues. I love making these little leaves – each one is a little bit different, with its own character.
The wooden sticks run through the length of the leaf, from stem to tip. The holes are spaced about 2.75″ apart — this is a smaller spacing, good for fine hair, partial updo’s, or for use as a ponytail holder or shawl pin.
As you can see, there are three different color variations available: red, brown or autumn gold.
You also have several colors of wood to choose from. Photos 2-4 show the different stick colors along with the different leaf colors, so that you can choose the combination that you like best. Photo #5 shows just the hairsticks, and each color is labeled. When you choose your stick type from the drop down menu, it will also include the approximate length (length varies a bit on these) as well as whether the end is rounded or squared.
This design is part of an open ended series. Since each one is handcrafted, there will be minor variations from one to the next; your hair accessory will be of the same style and quality as the ones shown here. I offer this style in a variety of colors. This listing is for ONE leaf barrette in the fantasy color of your choice.
This style is also available in shimmering green hues of peridot, emerald and olive or fantastical shades of indigo, silver or purple.
