Description
This original beaded cabochon necklace showcases iridescent hues of capri blue, teal and purple. Between the floral cabochon and the glass leaves, there’s a subtle garden motif, and the shape is suggestive of a female or goddess figure. I went on a little kick with this theme (as you can see in the last photo) and made a trio of these little goddesses; this one has a watery feel, so I’ve decided to call it a river goddess.
This piece showcases a 1960’s vintage glass floral stone with beautiful play of light effects; the color shifts from vibrant cerulean blue to electric purple with hints of amber, depending on how the light hits it. Above this is a vintage Swarovski crystal cabochon in “Bermuda Blue”.
The stones are set in hand beaded bezels, comprised of Japanese glass seed beads. These are accented with Swarovski crystal and glass leaves. It hangs from a gunmetal plated chain, which is adjustable from about 16.5″ – 20″.
