Description
This handcrafted leather butterfly necklace was inspired by the silvery blue butterfly. They’re among the first spring butterflies here in the Pacific Northwest, and they’re always a welcome sight. This piece would make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves butterflies, or anyone who could use a reminder of hope.
The wings were crafted from tooling leather, which was hand cut, carved, and painted in shimmering shades of silver and blue. At the center is a 925 Bali silver filigree, with a small labradorite cabochon. The “body” is a single blue kyanite spear.

The wings are edged with glass seed beadwork, leading up to a hand crafted sterling silver chain. The chain is adjustable from about 17″ – 19″, with a small gemstone dangle at the end. The silver wirework chain is dotted with high quality gemstone beads, including lapis, blue kyanite, faceted labradorite, and moonstone.
