These handcrafted leather butterfly wing earrings were inspired by the silvery blue butterfly. They’re among the first spring butterflies here in the Pacific Northwest, and they’re always a welcome sight. These earrings would make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves butterflies, or anyone who could use a reminder of hope.
The wings were crafted from tooling leather, which was hand cut, carved, and painted in shimmering shades of silver and blue. They dangle from antique silver toned chain, with little fluttering leaves. The chain is dotted with high quality gemstone beads, including lapis, blue kyanite, faceted labradorite, blue apatite, and moonstone.
They hang from sterling silver earring hooks, and they’ll dangle about 3″ total, or 2.5″ from the base of the earlobe.
