FOLKLORIC PROPERTIES ✫
Tanzanite was discovered in the late 1960’s, after a wildfire in Tanzania. The transparent blue stone typically has a purple-ash violet cast. As a relatively “new” stone, it has less folklore than most gems. The most common symbolism or attributes that I could find were associations with spirituality, intuition, and transformation.
