This original leather hair slide features a somewhat abstract peacock feather fan design. It was hand cut and sculpted from high quality tooling leather. Next it was embossed and hand painted in shimmering shades of teal, emerald, bronze, rose, and royal blue. The color has been sealed with a protective top coat, and then accented with an assortment of hand cut and glued peacock feathers. At the center is a vintage glass cabochon, set in a row of glass seed beads.
This is a larger hair slide or hair cup, measuring 4-5 inches in any given direction. It clasps with a hand crafted copper wire stick. The stick has been hammered for added strength and topped with a spiral accent, it measures about 7″ long. The hole spacing is approximately 4″.
