Description
This heirloom quality beadwoven brooch showcases a vintage glass cameo in ivory cream against a tortoise shell background with bronze scallop detailing. It is set in a hand beaded bezel of vintage Italian glass seed beads in dark bronze with ivory accents.
At the base of the cameo is a series of beaded dangles or fringe, which form a chevron shape. Interspersed throughout the lengths of fringe are Swarovski crystal beads in amber and bronze, as well as freshwater pearls, Victorian era “English Cut” glass beads and beautiful bronze glass teardrops.
The entire piece measures about 1″ wide x 3″ tall at the tallest and widest points. it is backed with luxuriously soft ultrasuede, and mounted on a gold toned pin back. The brooch finding runs vertically, so you could easily slip a bit of chain through it and wear it as a pendant.
